Where's my MBTA Bus? App Reviews

I bought the app because I always have to wait a lot when I go to work in winthrop; I take the bus at orient heights it is the 712 or 713. I would like that you include these routes. Thanks.

This is the only app Ive found that displays bus fleet ID numbers. As a transit enthusiast, this is great! Ted Cohen P.S. Vlad, if youre reading this: yes, Im the same Ted Cohen you worked with.

The app doesnt even come close to show my entire bus route (116/117). It is completely useless to me. Smart ride is a better choice

If you are taking the 93 or 86 buses, dont count on this app. I reported several time that it doesnt work, but nothing has been done. Needs lot of improvements.

When this app works its amazing. But it only works about 20-30% of the time. Much easier to just bookmark the mbta schedule page.

I am a time freak I time everything I can now confidently take a dump before I leave my house to get the bus

For the routes I use (504, 501, 502, etc.) it is far from accurate. I have found that Google maps references the MBTA schedule which is pretty accurate. The app also freezes pretty often. Dont buy it.

While in theory this app is a great idea, this app is not helpful at predicting accurate times of buses, many times it is off by 20-30 mins or will say no predictions are available at this time! There is another app out there, its not much better but its alright Bos next bus. And its free. It really shouldnt be this hard to give accurate bus times especially with buses that have a tracking system!

I was waiting for a bus that was late and downloaded this to see when it would arrive. The bus got there 20 minutes before this app said it would (which was just the schedule posted online and available on all the other free apps). I thought this used real-time data? I want a refund.

Buses appear and disappear on the app. Your bus goes from 2 minutes away to 9. Zero consistency or accuracy.

Accurate 95% of the time; can be a bit off if bus is less than 1 min away

This app is great. In bad weather I need to drive my husband to the bus and because of this app we know exactly when to leave the house so he doesnt have to wait out side too long.

If I know exactly which bus I want, this works fine. If I want to know what buses go around me, theres no way to see a map, like some other apps have. Id recommend a different app.

Its good at predicting but sometimes it times out or cant read the predicting list and has no explanation. Then you have to just guess when the bus is coming

Im not a bus rider but when I have to its very accurate... So Im aware the waiting time that is really important.

I just downloaded this the other day post-blizzard Juno because I am taking a bus to the T for the first time. The bus only comes every 30 to 60 minutes and I have a 15-minute walk to get there (and I need to time it with the Orange line on the other end) so I really need to know when its coming. This app keeps freezing on me and telling me it is timing out. I dont know if its a problem with the T or a problem with the app but it seems like the app. It worked great during the blizzard when I first installed it so I dont know what happened. I hope it gets fixed.

When I first installed the app in September, it worked very well, only occasionally freezing or being inaccurate. In the past few weeks though (maybe because of the storms?) its been terrible. Buses frequently disappear en route, times change on a dime, and it just overall has no reliability. A couple times now Ive waited for a bus that was "minutes away" for over 20 minutes. It gets pretty cold waiting that long. Wont use the app anymore.

This app has singlehandedly made bus travel tolerable in Boston. Ive never missed a bus because of an incorrect prediction, though very occasionally it will say that its unable to make predictions at this time. The map is useful, too, for when you need to navigate to an unfamiliar stop. Indispensable and a bargain at twice the price.

When it works properly, it is amazing and super helpful. BUT It still tracks buses that are out of service and re-adjusting their route. So when you look at your app and see a bus is moments away then a bus breezes by with an out of service sign, its because the app is tracking a ghost bus. This has happened to me 3x in the past 2 weeks. Maybe we can blame the snow, but maybe its a flaw that can be fixed.

Most useful app on my phone right now. I just moved to Boston from Miami, and I dont think I wouldve survived waiting for the bus without this app. I get out of my house three minutes the bus is due to arrive on my way to Harvard, and the bus usually arrives almost to the tee of what is reported on the app. These people need an award!
